Joseph, 17 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

Joseph was such a little sweetheart during his newborn session! We used teal, which is one of my all time favorite colors (UNCW alum here!), neutrals, and blues. We also got some amazing shots of his proud parents in his nursery. Just check out those cheeks and adorable back rolls!

Audrey, 13 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Audrey is most definitely pretty in pink! I brought some traditional pink props to her session, but also utilized some green and peach, as well as neutrals. Sweet girl was most definitely milk drunk and especially loved being swaddled up nice and cozy. At the end of Audrey’s Classic Newborn Session, we got some family shots with her parents and proud big brother!

T. Family | Ocean Isle Beach Photographer

This beautiful family traveled to Ocean Isle Beach for their beach vacation and I was honored to take some updated photos for them! The T. Family consisted of grandparents, three adult children/spouses, and three grandchildren (the little matching dresses were perfect!). I adore extended family sessions because of all of the connection I’m able to capture. I always try to get all the combos, such as the entire group, each individual family, grandparents with grandchildren, cousins together, adult siblings, etc.

Here are some of my favs from this sweet session:

Jack, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

This little nugget was pure perfection during his newborn session! We incorporated greens and blues which I think complemented Jack’s skin tone and features beautifully. He snoozed through so many poses and especially enjoyed being nice and wrapped during the swaddled portion of the session. My favorite images of Jack are the ones that showcase his squishy cheeks!

Elijah, 10 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

Little Elijah was such a squishy, perfect little nugget! He had cheeks and rolls for DAYS! His parents chose a classic newborn session without family images, so we just focused on getting shots of 10 day old perfection.

We started with some wrapped/unwrapped blanket shots and transitioned to a few adorable outfit poses. Then we got quite a few prop shots (who doesn’t love a baby in a bowl or basket?!).

Many parents look on with disbelief and comment that I “have so much patience!” I do think being a former preschool teacher as well as being a mom of four helped prepare for the patience needed for newborn photography, ha! I do a lot of shushing, rocking, and soothing, as well as waiting while baby feeds, but the end result is so worth it!
