Lifestyle newborn sessions are so incredibly special, just focusing on the parents and sweet, new baby. Jack’s mom and dad were obviously so in love with their little boy. His nautical themed nursery was absolutely adorable and perfect. We got some precious shots in the nursery and then moved to mom/dad’s bedroom. I’m completely obsessed with this session and the connection between the members of this beautiful family 💙
Tessa, 16 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Tessa was such a tiny beauty! Her mama is a friend and it’s always such an honor to photograph families when you are well aware of the special gift they’ve received ❤ Tessa was born in December, so of course we had to do a few Christmas-themed set ups! She was a happy nugget and gave me some sweet smiles during her session, which is one of the best parts of this job.
Here are some of my favorites of baby Tessa:
River, 11 days new | Newborn Photography Wilmington NC
This sweet, little boy was bright-eyed and wide awake for the first half of his newborn session! Eventually, however, I worked my magic and we finally got some sleepy photos of River. There’s just something so beautiful about newborns and eye contact 😍 Sometimes parents wonder what happens if their baby doesn’t want to sleep. Well, we usually get precious awake photos and then they give in to the swaddling, warm room, and white noise 😴
Ellie, 8 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Gorgeous Ellie was such a perfect angel during her newborn session! Her parents chose the Classic Newborn option, which combines posed shots of baby with lifestyle family photos. I first met this family during their maternity session (check out those adorable photos here!) and I was so excited to snuggle little Ellie. Big sister was just under 2 years old, which can be a tricky time for a photo session, but I try to keep things low pressure, just capturing some sweet shots of the new family of four.
Scarlett, 9 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
I was so excited to meet Miss Scarlett after photographing her big sister Ella (check out Ella’s newborn session here!). The two girls look so much alike, it was almost like deja vu! For Scarlett’s session, we incorporated soft pinks and purples, as well as girly accents like lace and pearls.
