Tessa, 16 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Tessa was such a tiny beauty! Her mama is a friend and it’s always such an honor to photograph families when you are well aware of the special gift they’ve received ❤ Tessa was born in December, so of course we had to do a few Christmas-themed set ups! She was a happy nugget and gave me some sweet smiles during her session, which is one of the best parts of this job.

Here are some of my favorites of baby Tessa:

Z. Family | Wilmington NC Maternity Photographer

I was so thrilled to meet these two beautiful humans and parents-to-be! I could tell, just from our time together during their maternity session, that they would be amazing parents to their little girl 💕

They chose Carolina Beach as their backdrop and it was an absolutely gorgeous evening. As always. I got some images of just mom, as well as mom + dad, showcasing the connection between the two of them and their new baby.

T. Family | Kure Beach Photographer

I had so much fun with this BIG family! The parents/grandparents have four adult children and seven grandchildren, so there was a lot of coordination involved! As a mom of four myself (ages 4-11), I love meeting extended families with four kids because it’s like catching a glimpse of what my future could be ❤️

I think the T. family did such a great job coordinating their outfits with blue and white as base colors, then adding in some pops of other colors, like green and coral. We got some shots of everyone together, as well as each individual family and grandparents with the kids.

River, 11 days new | Newborn Photography Wilmington NC

This sweet, little boy was bright-eyed and wide awake for the first half of his newborn session! Eventually, however, I worked my magic and we finally got some sleepy photos of River. There’s just something so beautiful about newborns and eye contact 😍 Sometimes parents wonder what happens if their baby doesn’t want to sleep. Well, we usually get precious awake photos and then they give in to the swaddling, warm room, and white noise 😴

E. Family | Oak Island Family Photographer

This extended family session was so much fun! I met the E. family while they were vacationing on Oak Island (my hometown ❤️). The family consisted of grandparents, their two adult children, and their families, including 4 grandchildren). I love beach sessions so much anyway, but there’s something even more special about extended families gathering together, especially when they might not all be in the same place very often.

Here are some of my favorite shots from this sweet session:
