Odhran, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Odhran had the most adorable cheeks and back rolls that I had the honor of photographing (and that chin dimple!). His parents requested blues, greens, and neutrals for his newborn session and I was happy to oblige.

Odhran slept through almost his entire session and gave me the best snuggles in between sets! I also enjoyed his wispy hair that liked to stand straight up unless we “styled” it back down, especially after a hat/accessory change. He is just perfection 💙

L. Family | Oak Island Photographer

I absolutely adore photographing families on the beach, especially my hometown of Oak Island. Growing up, I certainly took living at the beach for granted, but later on, I realized I was so lucky to live where many people vacation.

This sweet family wanted to document their trip, especially with three kiddos who love the beach! After we got some group shots, we let the little ones play and enjoy the sand and water. I always like to take some relaxed, unposed shots at the end of sessions, which captures authentic memories. Even the littlest nugget gave me the best smile, so I think he’s a fan of the beach as well!

Savannah, 10 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

Savannah was a breathtakingly beautiful baby girl! Her mama requested mermaid themed items and living at the beach, I was prepared! We used some seashell props, an adorable mermaid outfit, and lots of gorgeous sea-foam green. We also incorporated a floral piece that mom wore at her wedding, which is always so special.

I have an enormous amount of props, blankets, outfits, headbands, etc that I’ve collected over the years, so don’t feel like you need to purchase anything unless it’s something specific and special you’d like to incorporate. I’ve had many clients use blankets that grandma has knitted, items from their wedding, family heirlooms, and/or personalized items ❤️

Jordan, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

This tiny cutie was SUPER smiley during his newborn session! It’s always fun to catch a smile on camera when they’re this little and after photographing hundreds of newborns over the last 8 years, I can sometimes predict when it’s about to happen!

Jordan’s mama requested teals and greens, which complemented his skin tone and sweet features perfectly. He loved snoozing and he found my bucket and heart bowl especially comfortable ❤️

S. Family | Holden Beach Photographer

This session was such a fun one! It included 17 family members all gathering at Holden Beach for vacation. The proud grandparents have 3 adult children/spouses and 9 grandchildren that ranged in age from 2 to 13 (including 4 preschool aged little boys!).

Having been a preschool teacher in my previous life and being a mom of 4, I know getting little ones to cooperate for photos can be a challenge. I do have a few tricks I’ve discovered over the years. Sometimes it takes kids a bit to warm up and that’s okay! Usually there are other combos/shots we can do while they get their wiggles out. I also try to work pretty quickly because I know we have a limited attention span with most kids.

The best compliments I receive are from parents who say “this was so easy!” I do try to make it a painless process from beginning to end!
