B. Family | Ocean Isle Beach NC Family Photographer

One of my favorite parts of summer is meeting all of these wonderful families who vacation at the beach. Most of the time, they have their entire extended family and it's so much fun! The B. Family was an absolute blast! Mr. and Mrs. B have several children and LOTS of grandchildren (including one on the way)! They all were so precious and I'm glad I was able to be a part of their time together.

It rained earlier in the day and was still cloudy that evening, but that's actually the best for photos! There was nice, even light and cotton candy skies to create a gorgeous backdrop for this sweet family.

Sadie, 11 days new | Leland NC Newborn Photographer

Newborn photos are special for many families, but these images from Sadie's newborn session are especially treasured. Her grandmother passed away about a year before she was born and Mom wanted to incorporate her into the photos. You'll see an image below where Sadie's grandmother is watching over her. We also used a set of her pearls and sweet angel wings to honor her grandma.

The color palette for Sadie's session includes shades of purple and cream, perfect for such a sweet little lady. We also took family photos in her nursery (which is GORGEOUS!) and you can just feel the love these parents have for their girl. 

T. Family | Wrightsville Beach NC Family Photographer

This lovely family contacted me about photos during a weekend trip to the beach. Their adorable little girl, Paige, just turned one and she had a blast exploring the sand and water! We went with a lifestyle approach, which was so much fun. I loved watching Paige discover a new environment- if a toddler splashing in the ocean, attempting to eat sand, or "talking" to the birds doesn't put a smile on your face, I don't know what will! Plus, they were such a gorgeous (and sweet!) family to work with!

Margo, 10 days new | Leland NC Newborn Photographer

Oh my goodness- this baby girl was so adorable!! Margo's squishy cheeks and fluffy hair were just too much! She was also super alert, which makes my job a little harder, but I didn't mind because look at those gorgeous eyes (and eventually, she could no longer resist my sleep magic!). I was a few weeks from my own due date during this session and it's a good thing because she definitely would've given me a big case of baby fever!

Lilly Grace 18 Months | Southport NC Child Photographer

Miss Lilly is one of my favorite little girls- she happens to be the daughter of my best friend AND she and my youngest son are less than two months apart in age. Needless to say, she has a special place in my heart and we've spent a lot of time together since she was a tiny baby. Lilly was 18 months at the time of this session and definitely has the personality to show for it! She is such a cutie and almost always smiling.

We ended up at Franklin Square Park in Southport searching for flowers. It was early spring, so still a little chilly, but we did find some beautiful blooms. Here are some of my favorites!
