Owen, 12 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

This cutie is my nephew (who is now a full grown toddler) and I’m just now getting to blogging his newborn session! The first thing you’ll notice about Owen is his gorgeous head full of red hair! All 4 of my babies were pretty much bald until they were 2 years old, so I was OBSESSED with his hair! Also, he was Aunt Jen’s model for several days, so I got lots and lots of photos, of course.

For all of my clients, I love incorporating personal elements into their newborn sessions. Sometimes, that means using items like a handmade blanket or family heirloom. Other times, we add personal touches like Owen’s Ramses stuffy (my sister is a UNC alum) and his cute fishing setup (his dad and grandpa are avid fisherman).

I may be biased, but I do think Owen is one of the most adorable babies ever 🩵

Me'Lani, 16 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

Me’Lani’s newborn session featured a lot of YELLOW, which is one of my favorite colors for newborns, yet not often chosen by parents. I feel like it fit her perfectly because she was such a sweet little ray of sunshine while I was working with her. She slept most of her session, but even when she was awake, she was chill and even gave me some amazing eye contact. I wanted to snuggle her all day!

Leanna, 12 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

Leanna’s newborn session was absolutely adorable! We incorporated lots of floral elements and feminine vibes, which were perfect for this sweet girl. However, one of my favorite images from this session is the one using her mama’s wedding veil 💕 Check out that photo and more below:

Winnie, 15 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

I’ve always loved the name Winnie, so I was excited to finally photograph a beautiful baby girl with that name! Winnie was such a sweetheart, snoozing through her entire session. Her mama requested blues, greens, and yellows, so it was fun to get to use some colors that can be rarely used for girls. We also included some floral accents in the patterns of wraps and outfits, as well as headbands.

We also did some family photos in Winnie’s beautiful nursery with her parents. I feel like the love is just palpable in these images ❤️

Sage, 9 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer

This gorgeous girl had a head FULL of hair! My own babies were pretty much bald until at least two years old, so I love when I get to photograph a baby with a lot of hair! Sage was definitely one of those babies!

I also photographed Sage’s sister Avery a few years ago. I adore being able to watch a family grow through the years- it means so much when I get an email from a parent letting me know that another sweet baby will be joining their family soon!
