Tessa was such a tiny beauty! Her mama is a friend and it’s always such an honor to photograph families when you are well aware of the special gift they’ve received ❤ Tessa was born in December, so of course we had to do a few Christmas-themed set ups! She was a happy nugget and gave me some sweet smiles during her session, which is one of the best parts of this job.
Here are some of my favorites of baby Tessa:
This sweet, little boy was bright-eyed and wide awake for the first half of his newborn session! Eventually, however, I worked my magic and we finally got some sleepy photos of River. There’s just something so beautiful about newborns and eye contact 😍 Sometimes parents wonder what happens if their baby doesn’t want to sleep. Well, we usually get precious awake photos and then they give in to the swaddling, warm room, and white noise 😴
Stella was an absolutely gorgeous, little nugget. She had the sweetest cheeks and the most kind parents! Because she was born near the holidays, we had some festive set-ups planned, as well as muted tones, neutrals, and pinks. We even incorporated a handmade blanket in a few photos (I always enjoy using anything special or personalized in newborn sessions!).
Here are some of my favorites from Stella’s session:
Reid was the cutest little nugget with super sweet parents! His mama requested neutrals and greens for his posed portraits, as well as some family shots (their house was bright and airy, so we got some gorgeous family photos in mom and dad’s bedroom). Reid decided to be awake for a portion of his session, so we were able to capture some wide-eyed shots and adorable facial expressions, which are always some of my favorites. Also, grandma was visiting from out of town, so she got in a few photos 💚 I always encourage anyone who wants a photo with baby to be included. These days are fleeting, but they are so special!
Little Hazen was the sweetest boy! His parents chose a Classic Newborn Session, which includes both posed and unposed images, as well as family shots. We got some beautiful solo photos of baby Hazen, curled up like he was on the inside. He slept through almost all of his session, only waking up to drink a little milk. I adored Hazen and our time together. Here are some of my favorite images:
