This gorgeous girl and her wild hair stole my heart! Hazel was such a sweetheart during her newborn session. We styled her photos with floral accents, as well as lace and pearls. Hazel gave me a bit of baby fever because she was absolutely perfect! Here are some of my favorite images from our time together:
Sebastian, 12 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Sebastian had a head full of gorgeous, dark hair and the most adorable chubby cheeks, which is a wonderful combination to see as a newborn photographer! He snoozed during almost his entire session, only waking up to snack a few times.
His mama requested lots of blues for outfits/props. While I was styling his session, I pulled as many shades of blue as possible, including navy, teal, and baby blue. One of my favorite aspects of newborn photography is coordinating props, colors, outfits, etc. My goal is creating a variety of shots and poses while keeping the gallery cohesive 💙
Jack, 17 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Jack was just the cutest little nugget with squishy cheeks and perfect hair! I was so excited to meet him since I photographed his parents during their maternity session. His mama requested blues and greens for his classic newborn session- this option includes both wrapped and unwrapped poses, as well as family shots. We even incorporated a handmade blanket crocheted by a family member ❤️
McKinley, 10 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer
I first met McKinley’s parents last fall when I photographed their pregnancy announcement (see the end of this post for those images!). I loved getting updates from mom and learning about the progression of their miracle, rainbow baby until her birth in June! They live in an adorable farmhouse out in the country, so we incorporated vintage and rustic elements into McKinley’s session (I was in love with her entire nursery!).
Olivia, 9 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer
One of the best aspects of being a newborn photographer is being able to hold and snuggle tiny babies and then…give them back to their parents after a few hours! As a mama of three, it does give me baby fever quite often, but usually those snuggles hold me over for awhile.
Enter Olivia Anne. My best friend’s baby. Essentially my very own baby to play with and then give back! I held her at just a few hours old (hospital fresh 48 images at the end of this post) and then photographed her twice during the newborn days. I’m not lying when I say I had been planning this sweetheart’s newborn session(s) for months. And she was everything I dreamed she’d be.
