Declan was the snuggliest little bear at 3 weeks old! His parents requested neutrals, blue tones, and a bit of a nautical feel. He was the happiest while all wrapped up, but he also enjoyed snoozing in a bucket for awhile. At the beginning of our session, we photographed some family moments of mom and dad with their sweet boy. Declan’s animal-themed nursery was absolutely gorgeous (I have to say, I think the toddler-sized giraffe will be a favorite of Declan’s in a couple of years). The family’s curious fur baby found himself in the middle of a few shots, which turned out to be perfect!
Bryce, 12 days new | Wilmington Newborn Photographer
I met this sweet boy’s family nearly two years ago when I photographed his big sister as a newborn. It was almost like deja vu because Bryce looks so similar to his sister, Sadie, and he was such a good baby. He slept like a dream, only waking up once or twice for a snack and he loved being wrapped up all nice and snug.
However, Bryce did open his eyes for a bit while we were taking some family shots. Big sister, like most 21 month olds, was not into having her picture taken, but we did get some adorable images of her checking out her new baby.
I LOVE being able to photograph families as they grow and welcome baby #2, #3, or more! Bryce’s mama has now become a friend and I’m so grateful for a job that allows me to meet such wonderful babies and families!
Magnolia, 12 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
This beautiful girl has been such a huge blessing for her family and especially her older sisters. I was so excited for Magnolia’s family when I learned about her arrival. I met and photographed her parents and big sisters in the fall of 2017, just a few weeks before then-3 year old Jorja was diagnosed with leukemia. Sweet Jorja is doing well these days, in the midst of her treatments, and she’s loving her new role of big sister. Biggest sister Savannah was also beaming the entire time and enjoyed showing off her new baby.
Magnolia (I just LOVE her name!) was gorgeous in a floral romper and neutral tones, requested by her mama. She was such an angel and slept almost her entire session! Here are some of my favorites:
Jackson, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
This little guy was absolutely adorable AND he did not like the camera one bit! Jackson fought sleep for quite awhile, but eventually he gave in to my magic! We kept him nice and wrapped most of the time so he’d stay sleepy once he decided sleeping was okay. I can already tell he is going to have such a fun personality, ha! Those chunky cheeks and his sweet little button nose melted my heart. His mama requested a Christmas set up, as well as blues and greens. Personally, as a former UNCW seahawk, I have to say that I love the teal images!
Ethan, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Ethan was one of the most snuggly and sleepiest babies I’ve ever photographed! He literally slept almost his entire session and let me have the best time posing him. His mama requested blue set ups, which definitely complemented his head full of hair, beautiful complexion, and perfect tiny features. Ethan’s gorgeous and super sweet big sister was so smitten by her new baby (I know they’ll be partners in crime pretty soon!).
