W. Family | Fort Fisher Family Photographer

Back in October, I met and photographed this family, new to the area from Ohio. They were so incredibly sweet and their daughters were precious! The little girls were so carefree, happy, and just so much fun as they played on the beach at Fort Fisher.

Last week, I got an email from Becca letting me know that her three year old, Jorja, was very recently diagnosed with leukemia. As I read her email, I was rocking my seven month old daughter to sleep. My heart broke for this family and I was reminded that this could happen to any of us. A mother's worst nightmare. Jorja has already began treatments and will spend much of the near future traveling to and from the hospital.

Next month, I'll be shooting Valentine's Day mini sessions for kids and the initial session fees will be donated to this brave family. Please keep little Jorja in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season and beyond.

I've been photographing this sweet family for years. I met Alissa about four years ago in our church small group. The next year, her family went through a very difficult time when her twins were born extremely early and unfortunately, baby Asher left this earth way too soon (the elephant seen in these images was Asher's). Capri spent months in the NICU, but she is now a healthy, gorgeous, and happy little girl! I remember watching for updates on Facebook when she was a tiny baby and the transformation from preemie to toddler has been incredible! I feel so privileged to be able to document this beautiful family year after year!

I looove Fresh 48 Hospital Sessions and this one was extra special because Ryleigh was born on my birthday! When I found out we would likely be birthday twins, I was so thrilled. I've photographed her entire family for quite awhile, so I was very excited to finally meet her! And of course, she had beautiful bows and monogrammed outfits for her first days on the outside (and a super curious big brother!).

Oh, this girl! I've literally documented Lilly's life with sessions every 6 months, plus more sprinkled in there. She's one of my favorite little girls and I can't believe she recently turned two! Not only is she super adorable, she also has the best personality (as you can see below!). The cuteness is overwhelming!

Royce, 13 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

I LOVED this newborn session! First of all, little Royce was absolutely adorable and captured my heart. He was not super into sleeping, but that meant we caught some amazing family shots before he finally succumbed to my magic. His parents are seriously gorgeous (I mean, his mama is a yoga queen and looked amazing!) and they were so incredibly sweet as well. Looking at these images, you can just feel the love!
