Harper, 18 days new | Leland NC Newborn Photographer

My first impression of little Harper was "Oh my gosh, the HAIR!" She really is such an adorable baby, from her hair to her tiny toes!  She was also pretty kind to me and slept like a champ! Sometimes, the babies make me work for their naps, but this one barely opened her eyes during her entire session. We chose simple, feminine colors and set-ups for Harper and I think she rocked it!

These are some of my favorite shots during our time together!

Meadow, 6 days new

I met this beauty a few weeks ago when she came in for her newborn portraits. Mom wanted lots of pinks and purples and as a mama of two boys myself, I always love the chance to get a little girly! Meadow was not super thrilled about sleeping, but once she got all swaddled and cozy, she decided to take a little snooze. I also had a wonderful time during her session talking to her sweet parents (and awesome big brother!).  One of my favorite parts of photographing babies and children is learning more about their families and connecting during those special moments.

Here are a few of my favorites from my session with little Meadow!

Eiko turns one!

A few months ago, I met an adorable little family who happened to live in my neighborhood. It turns out that we live only a block apart! Their sweet baby girl was turning one and they wanted some photos of her to remember this special milestone and also some updated family photos. They brought their beautiful daughter, Eiko, and her stuffed Winnie the Pooh (which they used to document her monthly photos) to our session and it turned out perfect! Here are some of my favorite images from our time together.

Cousins are our First Friends

When you get four sisters and their six kids together, it's quite the adventure! I loved capturing these kiddos and I think their personalities really shine through the images. The cousins range in age from a few months to 9 years old and they definitely have a special bond. The session took place in downtown Southport and these kids had tons of fun watching the boats, playing in the sand, and just being silly. We also got a few shots of the sisters together and each mom with their child(ren). I have to say, I had a blast with this session, so I'm sharing some of my favorite images!

Hunter and Fisher

As a mom of two little boys, I like to imagine that as they grow older, they'll not only be brothers, but best friends as well. I love watching brothers interact and these two little guys were so sweet together! Mom wanted some photos of them before their little sister arrives in a couple of months. Big brother Hunter and little Fisher had a blast at our session and I think we captured both of their personalities in these images. I've known Hunter for a few years now and I can't believe he's looking so grown up these days!
