Brylee, 12 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Brylee was baby girl number THREE for this family! Her big sisters were so excited to welcome her and showed her off to me immediately. As you can see, they’re all such gorgeous little ladies!

Right before Brylee’s session, I had gotten this star prop set in and I couldn’t wait to use it! I don’t think I could’ve chosen a more perfect baby for it. Most of her session featured muted or neutral tones, which is always a classic, beautiful choice. At the end, we took some family photos cozied up on mom and dad’s bed (I LOVE adding on some lifestyle family shots during posed newborn sessions- you’ll never regret capturing those moments!).

S. Family | Bald Head Island Photographer

I met this gorgeous family during their vacation on Bald Head Island and the golden hour vibes did not disappoint that evening! The S. family contacted me to get some updated portraits. Their kids were 9 and 3 (the sweetest siblings!) and were rock stars during the session. I know they made mom so happy, especially with some of the individual and sibling shots.

Bald Head Island has some of the best spots of our area beaches. It’s secluded and has amazing lighting and beautiful dune grass, which makes a super pretty backdrop.

Caleb, 10 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

All of my four children had very little hair at birth (and stayed that way until at least two years old), so I LOVE photographing a baby with a head full of hair! And Caleb definitely delivered! The hair plus the squishy cheeks is an adorable combo and I almost wanted to take him home with me (see: above mentioned four kids of my own, ha!).

Caleb’s newborn session included lots of blues and neutrals and tiny props such as a small teddy and felted heart.. The session took place during the holiday season, so we also took a few family shots in front of their gorgeous fireplace/mantle.

J. Family | Oak Island NC Photographer

Extended family sessions have a special place in my heart! So often, the families I meet are separated by several states and meet up at the beach for a vacation. Sometimes, it’s been months or even years since they’ve all been together. They reach out for a session to document this time and these special memories. I always feel honored to play a small part in their time at the beach!

The J. Family consisted of grandparents, three adult children/spouses, and five grandchildren. They were such a sweet, fun group to photograph and the absolute cutest kids (shout out to the tractor that had to make an appearance with a certain three year old!).

Viviana, 10 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Oh, Viviana. Such an absolutely gorgeous baby! I mean, she has cheeks for days!

Mom requested “all things girly” for her session, so I brought all the bows, lace, and pink. The pinks contrasted with some white/neutrals gave a classic, feminine vibe. We also incorporated some personal touches, such as mom and dad’s wedding rings on her tiny toes (one of my favorite types of shots!). And then of course, we finished up doing some lifestyle family photos in her nursery. I know those early days can be a blur when a few years (or even just months) have gone by, so I’m glad I can help preserve some of the memories of when two became three.
