This little guy was absolutely adorable AND he did not like the camera one bit! Jackson fought sleep for quite awhile, but eventually he gave in to my magic! We kept him nice and wrapped most of the time so he’d stay sleepy once he decided sleeping was okay. I can already tell he is going to have such a fun personality, ha! Those chunky cheeks and his sweet little button nose melted my heart. His mama requested a Christmas set up, as well as blues and greens. Personally, as a former UNCW seahawk, I have to say that I love the teal images!
Ethan, 11 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Ethan was one of the most snuggly and sleepiest babies I’ve ever photographed! He literally slept almost his entire session and let me have the best time posing him. His mama requested blue set ups, which definitely complemented his head full of hair, beautiful complexion, and perfect tiny features. Ethan’s gorgeous and super sweet big sister was so smitten by her new baby (I know they’ll be partners in crime pretty soon!).
Charlotte, 15 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
I was so excited to meet Charlotte and her parents after learning she was a rainbow baby (a baby born after pregnancy loss). I’ve personally experienced loss in my own journey to motherhood, so rainbow babies have a special place in my heart.
This session was a piece of cake because baby girl was a wonderful sleeper and snuggler! Charlotte was absolutely gorgeous and her family was so incredibly sweet as well. We got some great family images in her nursery, which was so beautiful, bright, and airy (and the book on the table is called “Brave Charlotte”- so awesome!), and the master bedroom. As for the posed images, Charlotte’s mama asked for soft feminine colors, like pink and peach, and we incorporated rainbows. I also love the subtle touches such as the flowers in the headbands and tiny gold polka dots!
Lareya, 16 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
This sweet baby girl was a dream to photograph! Lareya not only has perfectly chubby cheeks and a head full of gorgeous hair, but she also has two amazing older sisters (who were such a big help during our session!). For most of the setups, we stuck with classic girly colors like pink, purple, and white. Then, Lareya was swaddled in a beautiful rust colored wrap while wearing a pretty floral headband and as a baby born in October, she totally rocked the fall look. Here’s some of my favorite images from my time with Lareya and her family!
Harper, 6 weeks new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer
Miss Harper was such a beautiful, sweet girl for her newborn portraits! Typically, we like to schedule newborn sessions during the first two weeks of life, when babies are still very sleepy and can be safely posed in those adorable, curly positions. However, some parents become caught up in the busy first days of snuggling, feeding and changing. Harper’s mom contacted me, a bit worried that she was about a month outside of the typical age guidelines, but her baby girl was absolutely amazing!
We did mostly wrapped poses to keep Harper nice and snuggled, stopping for quick snack breaks. We were also able to get a shot in a very special blue dress that has been handed down for many generations in her mama’s family. And although Harper is her parents first human baby, she does have two fur siblings, who cooperated for a family photo!
