Sophia, 7 Month Sitter Session | Wilmington NC Baby Photographer

At 7 months old, Sophia was the happiest and most precious baby girl! Her chunky cheeks and thighs were unbelievably adorable and she pretty much smiled during her entire session. She was so content that we made it through many outfit changes in less than an hour. One of those outfits was her christening dress, which was absolutely gorgeous!

I'm so glad Sophia came in for her sitter session at the perfect age! She loved making eye contact and smiling, but she also stayed put for the most part (I'm sure she'll be on the move during her one year portraits in a few months!). Sitter sessions are perfect for capturing the stage in between the tiny newborn days and the beginning of toddlerhood!

Avery, 10 days new | Wilmington NC Newborn Photographer

Little Avery was such a doll for her newborn session! She had the most gorgeous little features with the perfect amount of squishiness! We incorporated lots of pink, purple, and florals for this dainty sweetheart.

Also, it was so nice getting to know her parents and I had a wonderful time capturing family shots (their adorable dog even hopped in an image!). One of my favorite aspects of newborn photography is talking with parents and learning about their family and their story. Becoming a parent (or adding another little one to your family!) is an amazing, and also sometimes terrifying, experience and I love that I can be a small part of the early days for my newborn clients!

Annabelle is ONE | Wilmington NC Baby Photographer

My third baby turned one in May! Of course, I've been planning Annabelle's cake smash since she was barely even out of the newborn stage. I knew I wanted something feminine and decided on floral with a butterfly theme. The gorgeous paper flowers on the backdrop are from The Whimsical Petals on Etsy and the cake was made by One Belle Bakery in Wilmington (seriously beautiful AND so delicious!). 

She wasn't sure of the cake at first, but once she tasted it, she was hooked (some of the faces below are hilarious!). She was pretty dainty about it all, but she still got to take a fun bath at the end! 

K. Family | Oak Island NC Family Photographer

I met this little family while they were spending a weekend on Oak Island. Being an Oak Island native myself, I love sharing my hometown with vacationers and learning what led them to choose this area for their getaway. Their adorable little boy was so curious about the sand, water, and boats cruising through the waves. He was quite the serious little guy, but he eventually gave me the sweetest grins at the end of our session. I'm so glad I could capture them during one of their last trips as a family of three because baby number two will arrive in just a few months (seriously, mom had the cutest bump!).

W. Family + Maternity | Carolina Beach NC Maternity Photographer

This family is seriously gorgeous! When mom contacted me, she wanted beach maternity photos, as well as some family images. Carolina Beach proved to be an amazing setting for her vision. She chose two stunning dresses, which showcased her growing bump. Her older daughter was also just beautiful and a blast to photograph. Baby girl is due later this month and I can't wait to meet her!
